    Dear friends, I have not been posting in a while. A hiatus of at least two years, I think. I lost count.
Disappointed with the quality of my art, I simply gave up posting. Determined I was, to do better.

    I have therefore been in rigorous training, my fellow doodlers. Nothing professional mind you, just a few tutorial books on the mystical practises of Photoshop, and a LOT of drawing. Sketching everything that moved.
    I return from this glorious journey, a better artist for my trouble!

So watch this space, chaps. My two new Borderlands deviations are just a taster of what is to come.

Of course, my Photoshop 7 is so incredibly low tech compared to its newer siblings, it is losing compatibility with my computer.
    The darn thing keeps crashing!
So, I have a new solution- I'll use colouring pencil on the little fiddly details that the poor old program can't cope with, and colour the rest with Photoshop. That way, I get a nice mix of medias in all my work- I hate to just stick with one thing.
    I shall, if I can ever remember to do it, try to get a newer version of Photoshop, just to play about with that 'Splatter Brush' I've heard so much about!

  Ye gods- I've discovered the wonders of Adobe Photoshop! Sure, the one I'm using is Photoshop 7.0, but it's still SO AWESOME. Gone are the days of colouring in with a black crayon and it turning out grey with blotches; black really is the new black!

Where have you been, you wonderful little program, you?

I am seriously trying to improve my art skills here, so I'm going to take a little more time than most to submit my art. I have, however, been submitting various little cartoons done on my quest for that Good Work I've been aching to create. Practise, as they say, really does make perfect, so bear with me, people!

Okay, so I'm new at this whole submitting art thing. Fingers crossed, all will go well. Hee hee.
